Weekly Word

Words of Faith
“God’s glory is not only evident in the moment when Jesus shines in light, but also in the darkness of the cloud. God chooses to be made known. God is abundantly present not only on mountaintops, but equally so on the rugged, dusty, gravel-in-your-shoes roads it takes to get there and to keep going onward.” –Rev. Dr. Diane Janssen Hemmen
Trans•fig•ur•ation (noun) – a complete change of form or appearance into a more beautiful or spiritual state. Rev. Dr. Diane Janssen Hemmen and Rev. Anna Owens both preached last Sunday on the word, “transfiguration.” Find Pastor Diane’s sermon on our YouTube Channel, here on our website, or download the podcast. We hope to see you again in worship in-person or online this Sunday. Pastor Diane will preach on ‘forgiveness’ at the Mission Campus and Rev. Anna Owens will preach on ‘orthodoxy’ at our Antioch Campus.
‘Here for Good’ Project Updates
Construction noise is the new norm at both campuses and we couldn’t be more thrilled! Our Antioch Sanctuary is undergoing substantial work—building a more accessible chancel, installing new carpet, reupholstering pews, and improving lighting and A/V capabilities. The solar panels are installed and will be operational soon. These renovations are the next phase of the projects made possible through our Here for Good Capital Campaign. Thank you to all donors; your generosity is helping make safe our gathering and worship spaces and allowing us to be better stewards of God’s creation.

Lean more vegetarian – Summer is fresh produce season. Eat more fruits and vegetables and less meat and dairy—it is better for you and better for the environment.
