A New Covenant
Pastor Rodger finished the current sermon series Sunday, June 21. Just as Rumi is freed from shame and finds a new honmoon in “K-Pop Demon Hunters,” one that does not demand that we hide ourselves, Jesus Christ offers humankind a new covenant. The new covenant lets us shine as the lyrics from the song, “Golden,” tell us. And it is not just for one, but for all of creation. If you missed any of these sermons, find them HERE.
Our next series, “Words of Faith,” begins June 28. Words matter. How we speak about our faith matters. How we describe what it is we do and do not believe matters. Our pastors will explore different words of faith in hopes that we might broaden our vocabulary and deepen our faith.
Thank you – from Village for Gun Sense
Your attendance and enthusiasm helped make our Trivia Night on June 4 a giant success. There was a full house of 32 trivia teams in Friendship Hall and we raised almost $10,000 to go toward distributing free gun locks (among other efforts) to help make communities safer. Village for Gun Sense will meet at the Antioch Campus on Monday, July 13 at 2 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. Questions? Contact Jan Zimmerman. Learn more about our partner organization, Grandparents for Gun Safety, HERE.
