Children & Families
Children’s Ministry nurtures children from birth through sixth grade in their faith. From child care to Sunday school to day care, the Children & Family Ministry is all about social, emotional and spiritual development of each child in their care. Kids held a special place in Jesus’s heart. We agree with Jesus—we think kids are awesome! We welcome the privilege and responsibility to hang out with, learn from and help educate kids.
Sunday Children’s Ministry
We offer a myriad of opportunities for kids and families to worship at Village. Kids are always welcome in the Sanctuary for worship! However, we know that hour can get long for little ones, so we offer activity bags to engage them during services. We also offer Sunday School (called The Lighthouse) during the 9 a.m. service at Mission Campus and the 9:30 a.m. service at Antioch Campus from September through May. Kids explore the teachings of Jesus in fun and meaningful ways. We sing, play games, read Bible stories, chat and get to know each other.
Infant & Toddler Child Care
Our staff are trained, responsible, and passionate about caring for children. We welcome children in worship and do not mind wiggling in the Sanctuary. However, we understand if sometimes a young one needs a different place to be. Our nursery is a safe, inviting place for the youngest members of our church family, welcoming ages 6 weeks through 24 months. Children may be dropped off beginning 10 minutes before the service starts.
- Mission Campus (all services): Room 114
- Antioch Campus: Nursery
Preschool Lighthouse
Our curriculum is Bible-based and designed to make God’s word relevant to young children (ages 2-5). While there is no structured curriculum offered for preschool ages during the Gathering, children up to age 5 are welcome in child care.
- Mission Campus 9 a.m. service: Room 106
- Mission Campus 11 a.m. service: Room 114
- Mission Campus 4 p.m. service (The Gathering): Room 114
- Antioch Campus 9:30 a.m. service: Room 117
K-6th Lighthouse
Children will be grouped according to grade level with trained teachers each week using engaging curriculum. Bible lessons, songs, games and more help children to grow in their faith and learn the life-giving news of Jesus’ love.
- Mission Campus: 9 a.m. service (locations vary; come check-in at Children’s Ministry to find which classroom you’ll be in). Curriculum by Orange, First Look and 252 will allow children in K-6th grades to follow the same Bible story in each class, so families can engage together and discuss lessons at home.
- Antioch Campus: 9:30 a.m. service, Room 117
Morning Stars Children’s Choir
Morning Stars Choir (Grades K-6) meets select Sunday mornings from 10-10:30 a.m in Room 14 (immediately following Sunday School/Lighthouse). Children will sing in worship periodically, and help serve as worship leaders as much as possible. Contact Jenny Hull, our director, to get involved.
Special Needs/Sensory Room
Kids held a special place in Jesus’s heart. They hold a special place in ours, too. We think ALL kids are pretty amazing, uniquely created to do wonderful things. Regardless of the physical, mental or emotional challenges your child may face, we are committed to walking alongside families so that your child may know the love God has for them. Our one-on-one buddy system encourages kids of all ages and abilities to be a part of our Sunday mornings. Our Sensory Room at Mission Campus (Room 204) offers an area of respite, providing calming activities and a quiet space for retreat. Everyone is welcome.
Nursing Parents’ Room
Parents sometimes need a quiet, comfortable space to nurse, change diapers or step out of worship for any reason with their babies. At Mission Campus, the Nursing Room (217) is located directly across from the Chapel. At Antioch Campus, parents are invited to use the cozy library space, right next to the Sanctuary. The Sunday morning services are livestreamed at both locations so you won’t miss anything.
Family Lounge
The Family Lounge in Room 201 at the Mission Campus is an inviting spot for kids and adults to read, learn, create and play—stocked with games, creative projects, curated books and comfy seating. The Family Lounge has a “prayer wall” to encourage kids and adults to explore, listen, dream, wrestle with and learn about prayer and faith. It’s also a place for parents to hang out and get to know one another. Sunday morning services are livestreamed in the Family Lounge so you don’t miss anything.

Join us for a summer of learning, creating and having fun. Village Kids offers enriching summer programs for children ages 2-5th Grade in Village Kids Camps, Kids Day Out, Family VBS and Music & Drama Camp at the Mission Campus. Summer information is available beginning in early spring.
