Service Saturday
This past weekend, nine young adults helped assemble 60 hygiene kits for our unhoused neighbors and 48 Happy Kits for teens and parents at Children’s Mercy Hospital. One of the best parts of being a community of faith is serving our neighbors together.
SIGN UP for our next Service Saturday at ScrapsKC on Aug. 16 at 10:30 a.m. where we’ll assist their mission of creative upcycling. Kids ages 3+ are welcome with their young adult parent; spots are limited!

Fall Retreat
Save the dates for our fall retreat Nov. 7-9, 2025. We’ve booked a wonderful house outside Excelsior Springs, MO (~1 hour drive from Village) and would love for you to join us!
Manna Retreat – January 2026
Join fellow Village young adults for a weekend away in the mountains of North Carolina! This year’s theme is “Prophetic Voices: Courage, Justice, and Hope.” We’ll fly out together on Thursday and return by early evening Sunday. If you need a scholarship to help cover some of the cost, please fill out our scholarship application form. $150 deposit due on registration, remaining balance due by Friday, Dec. 12, 2025.
Scotland Pilgrimage – July 2027
Maggie and Ellen are working to gauge interest in a progressive pilgrimage to Scotland with Young Adult Ministry in 2027. The estimated cost is $3,750 for a 10-day trip and would include time in Edinburgh, Glasgow, and the Isle of Iona. At this point we are trying to see if there is enough interest to get a group of 20; filling out the interest form does not commit you to anything.
