Summer Interns!

Sabrina Thuenemann
Sabrina was born in Prairie Village and grew up around Village Church. She graduated from Shawnee Mission East High School and is currently studying kinesiology and integrative physiology at Kansas State University, with minors in leadership and nutrition, and is on a pre-physical therapy track. While at school, she is also involved in the Pre-Physical Therapy Club, Silver Key sophomore honorary, and Alpha Chi Omega. She loves to go to the gym, hang out with her friends, and drive around listening to music. Growing up, she was involved in Morning Stars, Village Voices, Youth group and went on any Village trip that she could. One of her favorite Village memories is going on the Dominican Republic trip, and she is so excited to get to meet everyone and have a great summer.
Lucy Minor
Lucy was born and raised in Prairie Village and has been involved at Village Church since preschool. She’s currently an education major at Kansas State University with a minor in Human Development and Family Sciences. Outside of school, Lucy enjoys spending time with family and friends, going on walks, and dancing. Over the years, she’s loved mentoring youth at Village and watching them grow in faith and friendship. She’s looking forward to another great summer and the chance to pour back into the community that means so much to her!

Aiden Brown
Aiden is a soon to be KU senior who graduated from Shawnee Mission East. He plans on becoming an English teacher after graduation as his majors are Secondary English education and Religious Studies. As you might have guessed, Aiden loves to read in his free time. He is also a big fan of collectibles as he spends much of his time shopping. Self-described as an avid family man, Aiden considers the church part of his family. He has been involved with Village for many years as a youth and this will be his second year as a youth intern! He can’t wait for another great season with Village as last year was one of his favorite summers!
We’re Going to Chicago!
We’re excited to announce an update to our summer mission trip! To make the experience more accessible and affordable for families, we’ve shifted our destination from Seattle to Chicago, and adjusted the dates to June 14–19. This change allows more students to participate in what promises to be a meaningful and memorable week of service. We’ll be partnering with the Chicago community for impactful volunteer projects, staying at a local church, and enjoying a full schedule of engaging programming, worship, and time together. Open to students who have completed grades 7–12, this is an incredible opportunity to grow in faith, serve others, and build lasting friendships.
