Serve at Village

Memorial Garden

Help maintain the peace and beauty of the Memorial Garden at Mission Campus by light weeding and ensuring garden policies are followed. Contact Linda Alley: linda.alley@villagepres.org.

Flower Ministry

Ther are several ways to volunteer: help deliver flowers to people who are hospitalized, homebound, in rehab, etc. after Sunday morning worship. We also arrange and deliver flowers to hospice patients on Mondays. There are annual opportunities to deliver poinsettias at Advent and/or lilies at Easter.

Congregational Care Committee

Congregational Care committee members work with the pastors to participate, maintain, and propose new ways to provide care for our members and the community. The committee meets once a month (usually third Mondays), and asks volunteers to serve a 3-year term. Contact us if you think sharing your gifts of caring, compassion, and support on the Congregational Care Committee sounds like a way you would like to participate in the life of the church.

Helping Hands

Helping Hands volunteers provide meals or assist with basic household tasks, yard work, etc. for members. All tasks are short-term and are a blessing to those home from the hospital or who have just welcomed a new baby. A request will be emailed—respond if you can help.

Stephen Ministry

The Village Church Stephen Ministry program pairs people who are experiencing challenges in their lives with specially trained members of the church who are equipped to listen, care for, and provide emotional and spiritual support. This one-on-one Christian care is confidential and available to church members and the wider community at no cost. Become a Stephen Minister at Village!

Stephen Ministry is an international ministry based in St. Louis which has provided spiritual support to over 1.5 million people worldwide in over 13,000 congregations.

Memorial Services & Receptions

The Memorial Guild shares comfort and support during a memorial service or reception. There are two areas: ushers greet and share information with guests attending a memorial service, and reception volunteers host a reception following a memorial service.
