Friendship Hall Facelift
The much-anticipated Friendship Hall renovation at Mission Campus is now underway! This project is a significant step toward enhancing one of our most versatile and vital spaces, allowing us to better serve the congregation and community. Room 232/233 has been refreshed with new carpet, paint, and AV equipment so it can be used for memorial receptions, etc., during the renovation.
The redesigned Friendship Hall will retain its status as a central hub for worship, education, fellowship, music, and events. Key updates include: a contemporary design with low-maintenance flooring, improved acoustics, and upgraded audio-visual capabilities for the Gathering worship service, concerts, and lectures. The new stage will be ADA-compliant with accessible storage for instruments and supplies.
The renovation also addresses practical upgrades, such as replacing windows and the barista counter, adding automatic shades, and relocating doors to better accommodate large gatherings. These changes ensure the hall continues to be a welcoming, functional space for Wednesday Family Dinners, memorial receptions, and meetings.

At The Gathering service on April 20, our church family paused to remember the joys, sorrows, and memories made in this holy space. There have been more than 650 Gathering worship services, more than 500 Wednesday Family Dinners, and countless memorial receptions, Advent Workshops, Ice Cream Socials, and session meetings. These walls contain part of the vital ministry of Village Presbyterian Church. Our six pastors stood shoulder-to-shoulder in prayer, Nathan Bliss penned an original song for the occasion, and members wrote messages of gratitude on the walls themselves.

On the day after Easter, Monday, April 21, demolition officially began. While this is a lengthy project, our hope is that we will gather again in Friendship Hall after the new year in this beautifully enhanced space. We appreciate your patience during this process and look forward to unveiling the revitalized Friendship Hall!
