We are pleased to announce our 2025 concert season at Village Church. All listed concerts take place at Village Church Mission Campus Sanctuary unless otherwise noted. Admission is free unless otherwise noted. Learn more about the Village Church Music Ministry and how you can become involved.

January

2nd Thursday Recital: Lucas Fletcher, organ
12:15 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9. Dr. Lucas Fletcher is the director of music at Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral in Kansas City, Missouri.

Kansas City Percussive Art Ensemble presents Edgard Varèse’s “Ionisation”

Kansas City Wind Symphony Chamber Winds
3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2. Featuring “Vienna Philharmonic Fanfare” and “Serenade in Eb” by Richard Strauss.

The Gesualdo Six presented by Friends of Chamber Music

UMKC Choirs & Orchestra present Mozart’s “Solemn Vespers”

2nd Thursday Recital: Jay Carter, countertenor & Christopher Reames, tenor

Kansas City Wind Symphony presents “The Muse in Music”
3 p.m. Sunday, March 16. Featuring music that was inspired by other art forms — from fine art to theatre, poetry to rock music. You’ll hear “Contre Qui Rose” by Morton Lauridsen, “Adoration” by Florence Beatrice Price, and “Black Dog” by Scott McAllister.

Robert August, organ presented by the American Guild of Organists
7:30 p.m. Monday, March 17. Join the Greater Kansas City American Guild of Organists chapter for an organ concert with lecture by Dr. Robert August, who will share information about past and current Dutch composers. Learn more about this event at kcago.com.

46th Annual Bachathon presented by the American Guild of Organists, featuring the Village Chamber Choir and KC Baroque Consortium

Kansas City Chorale presents “The Lost Birds”

Kansas City Wind Symphony presents “Buen Viaje”

Te Deum presents “Harmony of Connections”
7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 31. Through the use of choral music, poetry, space, and sensory-heightened experiences, Harmony of Connections is designed to explore the creation, maintenance, and loss of connection – featuring great American composers, Samuel Barber, Meredith Monk, and David Lang, as well as local Kansas City composers Geoffry Wilcken and a world premiered by Anthony J.
