Memorial Services
The promise of our faith is that nothing—not life and not death—can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Plan a Memorial Service
Village Church is here to be a comfort and presence when a loved one dies. Contact us any time of the day at 913-262-4200 when a death occurs.
We are here to help you plan a memorial service for your loved one. Services can be held at our Mission or Antioch locations. The Mission Campus Chapel accommodates 75 guests, while the Sanctuary can hold 900 and offers livestreaming options. The Antioch Campus Sanctuary accommodates 350. We’re happy to host a reception afterwards with the help of our Memorial Guild volunteers. Families may also choose to inter their loved one’s cremains in the Memorial Garden or Columbarium. To begin planning, please refer to our guide, Last Acts of Love. We will help you every step of the way.

interment
Memorial Garden
The Memorial Garden at Mission Campus offers a serene final resting place outdoors. The opportunity to select a spot is open to members of Village Church their children, and their parents. A spot is selected at the time of need, which includes ordering a bronze marker. Burial is for ashes only and there is no need for an urn.
Arrangements can be made with a pastor to have a graveside service at the time of burial, or the staff can perform the service for you if you are unable to attend. Please contact us for more details about interment at the Memorial Garden.

interment
Columbarium
The Columbarium at Mission Campus is a peaceful, meditative final resting place indoors. Members and/or their families may reserve and select two different size niches in advance or at the time of death. Each niche accommodates appropriately sized container(s).
