Ensembles

There is a way to make music at Village for anyone who wants to do so. Whatever your age or training, please come be a part of the music ministry here!

Mission Campus Music Ensembles

Adult Choral Ensembles

Village Choir

Village Choir is the principal adult chorus of Village Church. The choir sings for 9 and 11 a.m. Sunday worship services at the Mission Campus (choir members choose which service they sing). Rehearsals are Thursdays, mid-August through May from 7-8:30 p.m. The choir is open to all adults without audition. In addition to Sunday services, the choir presents several concerts each season and a highly anticipated annual Christmas Concert, Tidings of Joy.

In collaboration with other community ensembles, the Chamber Choir presents concerts each year. Past projects have included Bach’s Mass in B Minor, Vaughan Williams’ “Dona Nobis Pacem,” Duke Ellington’s “Sacred Service,” and Mahler’s Symphony No. 2.

Alegría

The Alegría choir welcomes adults whose schedules don’t necessarily allow for a weekly rehearsal or performance commitment. The group rehearses periodically on a Saturday morning or afternoon to learn an anthem and then shares it in worship the next morning. Alegría also participates in the annual Tidings of Joy concerts.
