LofterNews: October Youth Newsletter

We’re Off to a Great Start!
What a great way to kick off a new year of Village Youth! We welcomed around 30 students for our first Village Youth Group, where we celebrated with TJ’s and PJ’s, snacks, games, a raffle, and plenty of time to reconnect and make new friends.
We also held our first Wednesday @ Village, giving our students an opportunity to connect with the broader Village community. We loved seeing our youth out and about in the life of the church and getting to experience Wednesday nights together in a new way.
To wrap up kickoff week, a small crew headed to Sporting Park to watch Sporting KC take on the Philadelphia Union. It was a fun night at the park and a great way to close out our first week together!
As we head into the semester, we’re excited to continue building community, growing in faith, serving others, and making plenty of memories together. Here’s a look at what’s coming up!
What’s Happening at Youth Group?
Our first semester is full of opportunities to connect, learn, and have fun together! From Book Club and FED to special nights throughout the semester, there’s a lot happening at Youth Group.
Check out the full schedule below and mark your calendars! We’ll have regular Youth Group nights alongside special events like Be the Church Night, our Fall Hangout, the Heartland Bonfire, Photo Hunt, and our Christmas Party.

Late Night at Impact Gymnastics
All youth are invited to join us for a late-night hangout at Impact Gymnastics (formerly Emerald City Gymnastics) on Thursday, October 15!
We’ll have the gym all to ourselves from 9–11 p.m. for two hours of jumping, climbing, flipping, and just having fun together. Youth can enjoy the foam pit, in-floor trampoline, climbing equipment, and more.
It’s a chance to gather, let loose, and celebrate making it to the end of the quarter!

Heartland Youth Bonfire
Youth group is hitting the road on Sunday, November 8 for the Heartland Presbytery Youth Bonfire at Pine Ridge Presbyterian Church!
We’ll leave Village at 4 p.m. and spend the evening hanging out with youth from around the presbytery, enjoying a bonfire, hot dogs, s’mores, and plenty of time to have fun together. This event will take the place of our regular youth group that evening.
