Dominican Republic Spring Break Mission Trip

Each spring break, a group of our Village High students travels to La Romana, Dominican Republic, for a week of service, learning, and connection. This trip isn’t just about going somewhere new. It’s about stepping into something bigger than ourselves.

We partner with Light a Candle, an organization doing meaningful work in local bateyes. These are communities where many families live and work in challenging conditions. Our students spend the week building relationships, serving alongside local leaders, and learning more about justice, compassion, and what it means to live out our faith.

For many, this trip becomes a milestone in their faith journey. It’s a chance to serve, to listen, to grow, and to see God at work in powerful ways. And yes, there’s plenty of laughter and unforgettable memories along the way.

This year’s trip will take place from Thursday, March 12 to Thursday, March 19.
We’re adjusting the schedule slightly this year in order to prevent a significant cost increase to families.

Registration will open the evening of Monday, October 6th! Space is limited, so don’t wait too long to sign up. We’d love for you to be part of it.

End of First Quarter Events!

As we move through September, we’re already looking forward to celebrating the end of the first quarter with two exciting events for our Village students in early October. These gatherings will be a great way for students to relax, connect, and recognize all the hard work they’ve put in this fall.

Village Middle students are invited to a Late Night at Impact Gymnastics on Thursday, October 9 from 9:00–11:00 PM. Students will enjoy open gym time, games, and the chance to spend time with friends in a fun, active environment.

Village High students will head to Topgolf on Friday, October 10 from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM for a relaxed morning of golf, snacks, and social time as we celebrate the end of Quarter 1.

Leftover Halloween Candy?

Got more candy than you know what to do with? We’ll gladly take it off your hands! Each year, we collect Halloween candy to include in care packages for our college students. It’s a small gesture that brings a big smile and reminds them that their Village family is thinking of them, even from miles away.

If you’d like to contribute, just drop off your extra candy at the South reception desk. We’ll take care of the rest!
