Knitting at Night

Want to learn how to knit? Need a place to work on a project to get it done? Get your needles

ready and knit your hearts out! You will have five sessions to get your project done. Think of the possibilities… Taught by Rae Casurella. Tuesdays, January 27; February 3, 10, 17 and 24. 6:30-8:00pm. Room 204.


Tuesday Morning Book Club

Has it been awhile since you’ve taken the time to finish a book? Are you an avid reader looking for like-minded literary enthusiasts? Then the Tuesday Morning Book Club is for you. For the first class, we’ll read The Memory Keeper’s Daughter by Kim Edwards. Bring your ideas, and we’ll make our book selections for the semester. The May meeting will be an end-of-semester evening gathering at a member’s house or coffee shop – date to be determined. Led by Elizabeth Ong. PF Chang’s Cooking Class

See what Chef Leroy is cooking up for the Chinese New Year!  Make authentic Chinese food in this hands-on class.  No rings or bracelets, please! Taught by Chef Leroy Daniels. Tuesday, February 3. 9:30-11:00am. At PF Chang’s Restaurant.  Class limit: 20.


Souper Bowl

Let’s celebrate our own “Souper Bowl!” Bring your favorite soup, copies of your recipe, and a muffin tin for sampling. You’ll come away with a full stomach and lots of great soup ideas! Led by Martha Mann. Friday, February 6. 9:30-11:30am. Room 228.


Restore the Core I

Try out this sample class of "Restore the Core" designed to strengthen the core and zap your waistline back into shape in no time. It's a mat pilates style class with a twist designed for women of all ages. Taught by StrollerFit owner, Gillian Hansen. Tuesday, February 17. 9:30-10:30am. Room 132. Additional class fee: $2. Make Your Own Mini-Fringe Quilt

Make your own flannel quilt to keep or to give as a gift … a perfect class for beginning sewers. We will prepare material at the first class; bring your sewing machine to the second class to


begin sewing. Get instructions for making a T-shirt quilt. Taught by Suzanne Perlik. Fridays,

Clutter Busters

Have you made New Year’s resolutions to get organized or do you want to get an early start on your spring cleaning? Learn about strategies to tame the messes in your life and control clutter!

Photo Organization

Overwhelmed by all your photos? Bring your photos and leave with them in order! A supply fee includes a photo labeling pencil and a mini power sort box that holds 600 pictures. Taught by Melisa Vick. Monday, March 2. 9:30-11:30am. Room 15. Additional supply fee: $15.

Tour of the Bloch Building at Nelson-Atkins Museum

Come to the Nelson and learn about its new addition with a docent-led tour of the Bloch Building. Child care is available at Village Church from 9:30-11:30am, and the tour lasts from 10:00-11:00am. Let’s Fly a Kite

Get ready for spring! This is a fun activity is for parent and child to do together. Learn how to make and decorate your own kite. Led by Ashley Weaver and Erin Tollefson. Child care is available. Saturday, March 28. 9:30-11:30am. Rooms 126/127. Additional supply fee: $5. Class limit: 20.

Moms of all ages and fitness levels are invited to try out this class, designed to help build long, lean muscles. New moms are welcome to work out with their child in a front carrier.
