Environment

Christianity & Environmental Stewardship
Christians are called to be good stewards of God's creation. The issues of energy, climate change, and environment often lead to political argument and scientific debate. Therefore, we'll be exploring the issues from a much-needed fresh perspective from Scripture. Taught by Rick Gasaway, a professional electrical engineer in Kansas and the leader of the Christ Lutheran Church Godly Green Team. Wednesday, February 4. 6:30-8:00pm. Room 132.

Faith Communities: A Faithful Response to Global Climate Change

People of faith increasingly regard human-induced global climate change as one of the overarching moral, social, economic, and environmental issues of our age. Because it is happening more rapidly than projected even a year ago, some have suggested that this accelerating scenario goes beyond "our age," that it is biblical in its scope, magnitude, and consequences—affecting the entire arc of human history! What is the evidence?  What are the consequences?  What can individuals do?  How should faith communities respond?  Come, learn,

and discuss. Led by Jerry Rees, member of Village Church's Environmental Action Committee.

Wednesday, February 11. 6:30-8:00pm. Room 132.
